We all experience times when when we feel like we are a burden to others. We also have times where we feel like people are a burden to us. There is one thing we need to remember: Jesus never tires of us. Jesus never says "not you again". No matter how many times we fall short, or how many times we walk away. He will welcome us back. It is one of the most amazing things about grace. We don't deserve it but it is freely given. If you find yourself in a place where you think you can't come back from, or you've gone too far, take a minute. Realize that you haven't. Our God goes to impossible lengths to be in relationship with you. It is actually more than that, he pursues us. He actively works to get us back. We constantly turn our backs, harden our hearts and close our eyes, but he is always there with a tender heart to welcome us home.
Romans 8:31-32
"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?"
If you haven't experienced this for yourself try reading the story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15:11-32. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=luke+15%3A11-32&version=NIV
Try to picture yourself as the child returning to your father whom you have basically told to drop dead, and you see that he is waiting for you! Not only that he sees you a long way off and runs to you! He is overjoyed to see you. The father in this story reveals the heart God has for us. He is full of lavish, generous, abounding love for you. You are precious to him, dear to him. I pray that you can experience this love today. That you find yourself before him and he wraps his best clothes on you and celebrates over you!
