It feels like things should be much different than they currently are. There is much division, much disappointment, and much hurt in the world. It is in times like these that the Church needs to rise. To be the salt and light Jesus calls us to be. Maybe it is time for us to stop talking for a while and start listening. To hear the heart of those we disagree with. As Christians we do not belong to ourselves, we belong to Jesus and to each other. If we allow our opinions and ideas to become stronger than the bonds that tie us together in faith, then we have a serious problem.
- Ephesians 2:13-19
“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.”
Can we, by the power of the Spirit, live in unity, live in peace, and be His Church?
